The project that’s due next month?

That embarrassing incident on the playground?

That chord you can’t seem to hit on your guitar?

That ugly shirt you had to wear to school last week?

The wrong answer you gave in math class?

That girl or boy who still doesn’t like you?

What will really matter to you down the road? I have a hunch everything on this list will work itself out during the course of the next year. This is not to suggest you shouldn’t study for the test, work hard on the project, practice the guitar, or think about your wardrobe. You should do all of those things.

Just remember to keep your focus in the correct target. Also, give yourself a healthy dose of grace when you fail. God has grace for you. Try to have some for you, too.
